Ask your Rep to support the Secure Notarization Act

We shared with you last week how the American Land Title Association was lobbying the Senate to ask for support on the Secure Notarization Act. A companion bill is now in the House.

Title companies are continuing to support the activities of the mortgage banking industry, but the current lending environment requires us to collect wet ink signatures on certain loan documents.

We hope federal guidance will allow lenders to accept closings done through remote online notarization.
