Enjoy a rainy afternoon surrounded by art at my personal favorite, the National Gallery of Art. Marvel at masterpieces by renowned artists like Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent van Gogh, and Claude Monet. Don’t forget to explore the East Building, a modern architectural gem filled with contemporary art.
Library of Congress
Step inside the stunning Library of Congress, where you can admire the grandeur of the Great Hall and explore the Thomas Jefferson Building’s ornate architecture. Discover rare books, historic maps, and the Gutenberg Bible. During law school, I was a research assistant and spent a lot of time here and consider the Library of Congress to be an overlooked gem.
